Killick Properties

Images of some properties that have been home or a workplace for Killicks through the ages:

South Hale

Richard Killick of South Hale was buried in Nutfield, Surrey, on the 9th October 1578; he was a son of Richard Killick of 'Southalle' who died in 1558, and a grandson of Richard Killick of Capenor, Nutfield. the wife of Richard the younger was Alice nee Killick, a daughter of Christofer Killick of Blechingley. They married in June 1567.

 

 

 

Kings Mill House, Nutfield

The house was owned by a John Killick, who died early in 1637, 'without issue'. His widow Susanna married William Best of Horsham, a yeoman, in Nutfield on the 4th December 1638. John Killick, 2nd son of Richard Killick of Horley and his wife Elizabeth nee Woodman inherited the property.

The property became the subject of a 'suit in Chancery', which was initiated by a Bill of Complaint of John Medhurst and others against William Best of Horsham and Susanna his wife and John Killick and Elizabeth his wife

 

 

 

Whitehall, Cheam, Surrey

This house was in the ownership of a Killick family during the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries. It was given to the Local Authority and now is a Museum owned by the London Borough of Sutton.
