Family Trees of the Killick Society Family Trees of the Killick Society Numerous Family Trees have been researched. Some are large spreading over many generations, some just for one family group. Each Tree has been given a Reference and Title. The letters prefixing the reference usually indicates a geographical area that the family has lived in, originated from or a time period. They are: EK - Early Killicks (1400-1700) K - Kent L – Lincolnshire R – Reigate, Surrey S – Surrey STS – Staffordshire T – Thameside U – USA and Canada V – Various Locations W – Witham, Essex The trees prefixed T and V are from various geographical locations and will, hopefully, be linked to one of the larger trees as more information is collected. A list of The Killick Society’s Trees is at Killick Society Trees There has been a popular television programme in the UK called ‘The Weakest Link’. Without claiming to be a fan of the programme, the word ‘link’ resulted in thought about the ‘missing links’ in the Society’s numerous trees. The Killick Society has researched and prepared many different Trees relating to the Killick and associated names. Some of these trees are large and some small. We will probably never find the links to enable them all to be joined into one tree. Indeed, such ‘links’ may never even have existed in the first place! However, many of the smaller trees will probably have started with individuals from a branch of one of the larger trees. So with this in mind and as an exercise to produce a list of the links that need to be ’closed’, the list of Missing Links has been produced.
